Board Transition & Election for 2022-2023 Board Elect Positions (Please fill in ballot)

Greetings from the Atlanta Area AACN Board!

We are happy to tell you that we are closing out our 2021-2022 Year and getting to start up the 2022-2023 Year, as our fiscal year runs July to January. This means that our current board is getting ready to step down, and we are getting ready to welcome our current elects as they transition into the headlining position!

I would like to thank those who have served over the past year! Carrie McDermott (Treasurer), Brittany Benson (Secretary), Rena Thompson (Membership), Maya Jackson (Community), Dalita Davis & Erica Haywood (Education), Mary Svendrowsky (Social Media), Pam Caison (Region 6 Liaison), and Dalton Skipper (Wellness/Wellbeing).

I would also welcome the incoming Board! Rena Thompson & Rhonda Freeman (Presidents), Gillian Getty (Treasurer), Patricia Donnelly (Secretary), Pam Caison (Membership), Erica Haywood (Community), Katharyn Courtland (Education), Sheena Martin (Social Media), and Carrie McDermott (Region 6 Liaison).

We also need to elect some folks to go into the ‘Elect’ or training positions in July. We have had several new volunteers this year which is very exciting! Please click on the Survey Monkey Link below to vote some folks into these positions. Even though there is not a lot of selection we still need enough respondents to make the election official so please take a few minutes to fill it out. There are still a couple of positions with no volunteers, so if you think you would like to join the board please fill in your name and we will contact you! There are also a few questions including a few about how you would like to see us transition (or not) back to the in person events that were so popular. We love to read comments so if you have any suggestions or ideas please jot them down in the survey!

July is our annual Board transition meeting so there will not be any meeting for this month, but we are working on some exciting events starting back up in August,

I wanted to take a minute to thank the Atlanta Area AACN Board, Dalton our immediate Past President, and several of the members of the chapter for all your support over the past year. It has been a challenging role that was more than a little bit out of my comfort level, so I appreciated the support and I have certainly learned a lot!

I miss seeing your faces and hope to see you in person at our educational events soon!
