Good evening,
Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel our May meeting. The Region 6 planning committee has also decided to cancel the regional conference "Visioning Beyond the Basics" for this year.
We are accepting nominations for our chapter board. The positions are:
Secretary-elect
Treasurer-elect
Membership-elect
Education-elect
Community service-elect
Social Media-elect
If you or someone you know is interested in serving, please submit their name/your name. Self-nomintions are accepted. You must hold an active membership to be considered.
There will be a COVID-19 Facebook Live chat tomorrow, April 21 at 11am, with Dr. Carlos del Rio, Infectious Disease specialist from Emory University.
Finally, for the last several weeks, GNA has hosted weekly "Rapid Response" calls to talk about issues that nurses are facing related to COVID-19. Those meeting minutes are posted as part of this announcement. On Wednesday April 22, we have a conference call scheduled with the Governor and his staff to discuss these issues.
