Hello Chapter Members,

I hope that you are having a great month. Thank you so much to those of you who attended our September event. It was great to see so many new faces!

Our October meeting is now open for registration on Nursing Network. We are going to be more strict this year and limit attendance only to those who sign up. If you sign up and your plans change, please edit your RSVP so that someone on the waiting list may attend.

It's not too late to register for Visioning Beyond the Basics, our annual Region 6 critical care symposium. 1-day registrations are available if you have work or other committments.

AACN is having an Instagram contest. Tag @exceptionalnurses and use #UnstoppableNurse to tell AACN what it means to YOU to be Unstoppable.

Volunteer Opportunities--

1. Metro Atlanta Heart Walk, September 28th, and Northwest GA Heart walk/run Nov 2. More information here

2. LifeLink Donor Resource conference, Oct 3. See attached brochure

3. The Winship Cancer Institute "Winship Win the Fight 5K" is Saturday, October 5th. Volunteers are needed on Oct 4th and 5th. If you're able to help, more information can be found here.

4. Drew Charter School Scholastic book fair, October 15 and 21, and Grandparents Day, October 18. Contact Marilyn Hack for more information, laawnurse@aol.com

As a reminder, Chapter dues increased September 1st, 2019. 1-year membership is $30, 2-year membership is $55. If you would like to know your chapter status, you can email me or our Membership Chair, Mary Svendrowski, (mary.svendrowski@emoryhealthcare.org)

Finally, please be aware of suspicious emails that you may recieve from myself or other board members. Two members have notified me that they recieved emails from "me", one asking about donating Google Play gift cards, the other with a suspicious link. We've notified the National office of these Phishing attempts
